A man is being held without bond for the shooting death of an Illinois woman on Jan. 3, 2010.
Christopher Channel
St. Louis Metropolitan Police said Christopher Channel, 18, of the 5400 block of Beacon Ave., is accused of killing Carrie Shaw, 40, of the 2800 block of Lakeside Dr. in Illinois. Police said Shaw was shot several times as she drove onto the ramp at Interstate 55 at the 1200 block of 7th St. Shaw had just bought drugs from Channel at Broadway and Chouteau, according to police. Police said Shaw died at a local hospital.
Channel was arrested for the crime March 10. Warrants were issued against Channel for second degree murder, armed criminal action and selling a controlled substance.
