Reid's wife, daughter injured in car crash

WASHINGTON, March 11 (UPI) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's wife and daughter were taken to a Washington-area hospital for treatment Thursday after a car accident, Reid's office said.

Reid's wife, Landra, and his daughter, Lana, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries, two of Reid's employees told Politico.

The Washington Post said the senator's wife broke her neck.

"Today Senator Reid's wife, Landra, and daughter, Lana, were involved in an accident in which their vehicle was rear-ended," Reid's spokesman, Jon Summers, said in a statement. "They are both being treated at a Washington-area hospital."

Aides said Reid was called out of a meeting and rushed to the hospital to visit his wife and daughter, but was expected to return to the Senate this evening.

Looks like someone is trying to intimidate Mr. Reid into getting this health care bill passed. I have seen this sort of thuggish behavior many many times in my life!!!!

At the end of the day the health care reform will still pass.

correction: This form of intimidation was meant to get Mr. Reid to vote against the health care reform bill that would provide affordable health insurance to Americans.

Is there any tactics that Republicans won't use to get this bill stopped????
