Zach Frazer, a senior at Lafayette High School, achieved a perfect ACT score of 36.
“I thought I did well, but I didn’t think I could do that,” says Frazer.
Only 29 college-bound students in Missouri achieved a 36, the highest possible composite score on the ACT, and Frazer was one of them. Nationally, less than one-tenth of one percent achieve the top score.
“I am considering a major in business but haven’t decided yet. I am looking at several schools including Northwestern, Washington University in St. Louis, and UCLA,” said Frazer.
Frazer offered the following advice to students preparing for an upcoming test. “Stay focused, relax and don’t worry while taking the test.”
For purposes of comparison, the average composite score for the national high school graduating class of 2009 was 21.1 out of 36. Rockwood’s class of 2009 scored well above the nation with an average composite score of 24.3.
