An 11-year- old child is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the buttocks.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police said it happened at 3:40 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Dick Gregory Place. Police said the child was visiting someone when he found a loaded shot gun in a storage room. Authorities said the child picked it up, started playing with it and the gun accidentally discharged.
Authorities said the gun belonged to a 52-year old man who lives at the home on Dick Gregory Place. So far no charges have been filed against the owner of the gun.

Someone should remind this child that we only need one hole in our buttocks. ;-) I have to agree with thegoveiskillingme, it is kind of odd to shoot oneself with a shotgun in the buttocks. I assume he dropped it and it discharged, he was lucky it only shot him in the backside.
