CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Saint Louis’ indoor track and field squads competed for the first time in 2018 Saturday at the Illinois Open at the University of Illinois.
There were several seasonal best performances by the Billikens. On the men’s side, Tannock Blair posted SLU’s top time of the year in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.32. Jaryn Blackshear-Bryant debuted in the 60-meter hurdles and clocked a time of 9.09. Tom Malloy registered a mark of 49-7.25 in the weight throw.
On the women’s side, Amanda Baker had SLU’s top time this season in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.58. Additionally, the women’s 4×800-meter relay team had a time of 10:42.48.
Saint Louis return to action next Saturday (Jan. 20) at the John Kraft Invitational at Eastern Illinois University.
